Sustainable Finance Awards

Submit Your Entry by November 30, 2026

Methodology

Global Finance will select the winners of the Sustainable Finance Awards 2027 based on independent research and submitted entries. Editors use a proprietary algorithm to weigh both quantitative and qualitative factors, including sustainable finance policy and standards, published targets and progress against them, year-on-year volume and market-share growth, third-party validation, landmark initiatives, and measurable environmental and social impact.

Entries are required for consideration in the Global and Regional categories. Entries are not required but are strongly suggested for the country awards, as they materially improve the chances of success by providing context, performance data, and evidence of client engagement, relationships, and innovation that may not be publicly available.

Stage 1: Editorial Review and Initial Screening

Global Finance will narrow the field based on each institution’s capability and relevance within the specific category entered, including:

• Relevance and depth of activity in the exact category entered, supported by clear volume and

market-share evidence

• Category-specific leadership, shown through the quality, scale, and credibility of activity

Stage 2: Final Editorial Assessment

Finalists will be evaluated on:

• Sustainable finance policy, standards and exclusions

• Published sustainable finance targets and demonstrated progress against them since the prior year

• Third-party validation, including ratings from bodies such as S&P Global, Standard Ethics, or MSCI, and rankings from Refinitiv, Dealogic, or Bloomberg

• Landmark initiatives, transactions, or product debuts from the review period that best demonstrate

innovation, impact, and alignment with the institution’s stated goals

• Measurable environmental and social results, including quantified impact and year-on-year volume and market-share growth

In the event of a tie, editors will give greater consideration to local providers over global institutions and private-sector banks over government-owned institutions. Winners will be the institutions that best serve the specialized needs of their sustainable finance clients within each category.
