Global Finance has announced its 34th annual ranking of the World’s 50 Safest Banks. The full list is included here and will be published in the November print and digital editions, as well as online at GFMag.com.
European banks dominate Global Finance’s World’s Safest Banks once again in 2025, taking the top ten positions, 14 of the top 25, and more than half of the top 50, with 26 ranked banks. Germany’s KfW is #1 for the 16th year in a row.
Canadian banks performed very well in 2025, taking seven total spots, the most of any single country.
