Global Finance names the World’s Best Supply Chain Finance Providers 2011

NEW YORK, May 17, 2011 Global Finance magazine has released its fourth annual rankings for the World’s Best Supply Chain Finance Providers to be published in an exclusive survey in the July/August 2011 issue.

Global Finance launched the awards in recognition of the growing significance of the supply chain and the various financing solutions that are emerging to enhance working capital and reduce DPO and DSO for buyers and suppliers. Global Finance selectedwinners across seven global and eight regional categories.

Global Finance editors with input from industry analysts, corporate executivesand technology experts selected the best providers of supply chain financing andmanagement services. A variety of subjective and objective criteria were used forchoosing the winners. Factors considered included: market share and global coverage, product innovation, customer service, technology, execution skills and client-specificimplementations.

As the financial crisis continues to have repercussions in the real economy, businessesare increasingly looking for solutions to help them manage their working capital moreefficientlyand that includes leveraging their credit rating to extend financing tosuppliers that would not be otherwise able to obtain low-cost funding, said Joseph Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance. In this years awards there are more examples of large buyer-led organizations putting their balance sheets to work to assist targeted suppliers, and while most are still focused on extending their Days Payables Outstanding, they recognize now more than ever before how that impacts their suppliers. We are also starting to see a wider range of financing providers participate in supply chain financing deals as banks credit appetite continues to be impacted by heightened regulation.

The awards recognize those providers and customer implementations that deliver realcost savings, working capital benefits and efficiencies for buyers and suppliers as wellas those firms that have developed innovative credit frameworks in order to extendfinancing deeper into the supplier chain.

An Awards Ceremony for all winners will be conducted the morning of Monday September 26, 2011 at The National Press Club in Washington DC.
