Gordon Platt Foreign Exchange Awards 2027 – Best FX Tech

Submit Your Entry By September 22, 2026

Methodology

Global Finance will select the FX Tech Award winners for 2027 based on independent research and entries submitted by providers. Editors use a proprietary algorithm to assess quantitative and qualitative factors — with an emphasis on category-specific excellence, specialist capabilities, and demonstrated relevance to the specific award category.

Across all categories, editors evaluate the depth and quality of the solution within its defined scope; the innovation’s originality and client impact; adoption and integration within real client workflows; and measurable results during the review period.

Entries are not required to win, but they increase the likelihood of success by allowing providers to present data, strategy, context, and innovation that may not be fully visible through public sources.

Stage 1: Editorial Review and Initial Screening

Global Finance will narrow the field based on each provider’s capability and relevance within the specific category entered, including:

• Demonstrated alignment and specialist expertise within the specific category entered
• Client adoption and impact within the relevant specialist area
• Meaningful innovation that addresses real client needs in the specific domain
• Commitment to the FX technology area being assessed

Stage 2: Final Editorial Assessment

Finalists will be evaluated on the following qualitative and quantitative factors:

• Proof of capability and expertise within the specific category entered — the quality, sophistication, and maturity of the solution relative to its specialist domain
• Differentiation and technical execution: how well the solution addresses a defined client need in an original, well-engineered way that stands apart from comparable offerings
• Measurable client impact: evidence of real outcomes within the relevant specialist area, including efficiency gains, risk reduction, cost savings, or improved decision-making
• Client adoption and integration: demonstrated uptake within real workflows, retention, and evidence the solution has become a trusted part of how clients operate
• Demonstrated results during the review period, tied directly to the category entered and supported by data, client testimonials, or independent recognition

In the event of a tie, editors will give greater consideration to solutions that demonstrate the clearest client impact and originality. Winners will be the providers whose technology best serves the specialized needs of FX market participants.

KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR 2027

For the 2027 cycle, Global Finance is especially interested in clear evidence of how providers are delivering results across:

Market share and coverage: Evidence of meaningful scale, adoption, and geographic reach within the specific category entered — including client base growth, deployment footprint, and how the solution is positioned relative to peers.
Commitment to the FX technology business: Year-on-year investment in the specialist area being assessed, including R&D, engineering resources, and product development focus that demonstrates FX technology as a deliberate strategic priority.
Innovation and technology: Clear examples of original, well-executed innovation during the review period — including purposeful use of AI, machine learning, automation, and data analytics — with evidence of the client problem solved and measurable impact achieved.
Client adoption and experience: Demonstrated uptake within real client workflows, supported by evidence of seamless integration, platform reliability, and sustained client confidence and satisfaction.
Results, impact, and performance: Quantifiable outcomes tied directly to the category entered, including efficiency gains, cost reduction, risk mitigation, or improved client decision-making supported by data, client testimonials, or independent recognition.
